Cut-off, dispatch and tracking

When the orders you send actually leave the warehouse, and how the tracking number finds its way back to your channel.

The rule

Noon, every working day

One cut-off, whichever route the orders came in by.

Upload before 12:00. Orders that reach us before noon are picked, packed and dispatched the same working day. Anything after that goes out the next one. It is the same cut-off whichever route the orders came in by — the Amazon report, a CSV or a shop connection.

The cut-off is about when the order reaches us, not when the buyer placed it. An Amazon report you download at 11:50 and upload at 11:55 makes that day’s dispatch; the same report uploaded at 12:05 goes out the next working day. Weekends and German public holidays are not working days.

Afterwards

Tracking back to your channel

Once a parcel is handed to the carrier, the tracking number is written back automatically.

For Amazon orders sent through the upload form, StartFill confirms the shipment in Seller Central with the carrier and tracking number, so the buyer is notified and your account stays compliant. For a connected shop, the tracking is written to the order in WooCommerce or Shopify. For orders imported as a CSV, the tracking appears on the outbound in the FFN portal, where you can export it or read it through the API.

Questions

Common ones

When do the orders I send actually ship?

Orders that reach us before 12:00 are picked, packed and handed to the carrier the same working day. After noon they go out the next working day. The cut-off is the same whichever way the orders arrived — upload, CSV or a shop connection — and it is the moment the order lands with us that counts, not the moment the buyer placed it.

Do I have to upload a file every day?

Only if you are on the manual route. A shop connection removes the upload entirely — orders arrive on their own. Uploading is for Amazon sellers who have not connected yet, for pilots, and as the fallback on the day a connection is down.

Two of us uploaded at the same time — what now?

The second upload is refused with a message saying so. The system deliberately handles one job at a time; wait for the first result and upload again.
