❄️ Cold Chain Storage · Nuremberg, Germany

Two cold rooms.
Two temperatures.
One warehouse.

We run two independently controlled cold rooms, each settable anywhere from -5°C to +20°C. Store a chilled product and a cool-ambient product at the same time — each in the room set exactly for it — then pick, pack, and ship straight out of the same warehouse.

What we store

Products that need the right temperature

Anything that degrades, separates, or loses potency outside a controlled range — stored at the setpoint it needs.

💊

Supplements & nutraceuticals

Powders, capsules, and blends that degrade or lose potency when stored too warm — chilled or cool-ambient as the formulation requires.

🧴

Cosmetics & skincare

Formulations sensitive to heat or temperature fluctuation — serums, creams, and actives that separate or destabilise outside their range.

🫙

Food, dried fruit & ingredients

Including products we also fill and pack on our Filling & Packing line — stored at the right temperature before and after the fill run.

📦

Other temperature-sensitive goods

Describe your product and the temperature range it needs — we'll confirm whether it's a fit for our −5°C to +20°C range.

Products requiring below −5°C (deep-freeze) are outside our current range. Ask us if you're unsure.

Two rooms, two setpoints

Not one compromise temperature — two correct ones

Each room is set independently, so two products needing two different conditions can both be stored right at the same time.

❄️
Room A — example setpoint
+2°C – +8°C
Chilled storage for products that need a cold, stable environment — set to the exact range your product specifies.
Probiotics & cultures Chilled supplements Sensitive cosmetics Fresh ingredients
🌿
Room B — example setpoint
+15°C – +18°C
Cool-ambient for products that need a controlled environment below normal warehouse temperature — herbs, botanicals, and heat-sensitive blends.
Dried herbs & botanicals Teas & spice blends Powder supplements Skincare actives

Setpoints are configurable per room — the examples above are illustrative. Tell us your required range and we'll assign the room and confirm the setpoint before your stock arrives.

Why StartFill

Temperature-controlled, not temperature-compromised

Two rooms, one warehouse — so cold storage doesn't mean a separate logistics flow.

🔍

Temperature checked regularly

Setpoints are monitored throughout storage. If a condition drifts, it's caught and corrected before it affects your stock.

🏬

One warehouse, every channel

Cold-stored stock is picked, packed, and shipped through the same JTL-native flow as the rest of your inventory — no separate handoff, no extra step.

📋

Batch & best-before (FEFO)

Lot-coded, expiry-tracked, and picked first-expired, first-out — for dated goods that need controlled storage as well as compliant dispatch.

📌

No minimum

Store a single shelf or a full pallet at a controlled setpoint — no volume threshold to qualify for temperature-controlled storage.

🇩🇪

Germany-based

Nuremberg facility, fast dispatch across the EU. Cold-stored goods ship from the same address as your standard fulfillment — one contact, one invoice.

The process

From temperature brief to cold dispatch

A simple, five-step path from your product spec to stock stored at the right temperature — and shipping.

1

Tell us your range

Share the product and the temperature band it needs — e.g. +2–8°C or +18°C.

2

We assign a room

Room A or B is set to that exact temperature before your stock arrives.

3

Stock comes in

Received, checked in, and placed in the matching room — lot-coded and expiry-tracked.

4

Held at setpoint

Stored at the agreed temperature for as long as you need — no time limit.

5

Picked, packed & shipped

Straight out of the cold room into your normal fulfillment flow — no extra handling step.

−5°C to +20°C, set per room. Each of our two cold rooms can be configured to any setpoint within that range — so if you need +4°C in one room and +18°C in another, both are possible at the same time.
Yes. We have two independently controlled rooms, so two products needing two different temperature conditions can both be stored correctly at the same time — no compromise setpoint, no mixing of incompatible goods.
Not currently. −5°C is our coldest setpoint — this is chilled and cool-ambient storage, not deep-freeze (−18°C). If you're looking for deep-freeze, we're not the right fit for that requirement.
Supplements and nutraceuticals, cosmetics and skincare, food and dried fruit, and other temperature-sensitive ingredients or goods that need a controlled environment within our −5°C to +20°C range. Describe your product and required range and we'll confirm it's a fit.
Yes — setpoints are checked regularly throughout storage, and any deviation is addressed before it affects your stock. Ask us for more detail on our monitoring process when you request a quote.
No — store from a single shelf location up to full pallets. You're billed only for the locations you actually occupy, whether that's one bin or an entire cold room section.
Yes — cold-stored stock moves through the same warehouse and the same pick-pack-ship flow as everything else, including products filled on our Filling & Packing line. No separate handoff or second partner needed.
Yes — cold storage runs on our standard pallet and shelf rates plus a temperature-controlled surcharge. The exact amount depends on your required setpoint and volume. We'll confirm the figure when we come back with your quote.
